Port of Yellow Bend - Located within 39 miles, directly on the Mississippi River, Yellow Bend Port is a slackwater harbor that is easily accessible through a 250 foot wide entrance to a 350 x 810 foot turning basin. Its location on the Mississippi makes it one of the most convenient port locations on the inland waterway system. It is convenient to 1 - 40 and 1 - 30 in Little Rock and 1 - 20 in Tallulah, La. In addition to port facilities, Yellow Bend has large tracts of land zoned for industrial use.

Railways:

Arkansas Midland Railway Company, Inc. AKMD operates 112 miles of track in Arkansas over five disconnected lines. One line runs from Mountain Pine through Hot Springs to a UP connection at Malvern, AR (33.3 miles). A second line runs from Helena to a connection with UP at Lexa, AR (12 miles). The third segment comprises two lines that connect with the UP at North Little Rock, AR. One line runs 6.6 miles to Galloway and the other is 7.4 miles, consisting of the Carlisle Industrial Lead. Monticello Municipal Airport - Ellis Field is located approximately 2 miles northeast of the Central Business District of Monticello. The Airport Reference Point (ARP) is located at Latitude 33° 38' 18.84" N, and Longitude 91° 45' 03.65" W. Monticello Municipal Airport, classified as a general aviation airport by the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS), has an elevation of 270 feet above mean sea level (AMSL) and has property consisting of approximately 385 acres. Runway 3/21 is 5,018 feet in length and 75 feet in width. The runway is constructed of asphalt and has a gross weight bearing capacity of 17,000 pounds single wheel main landing gear configuration. This runway is equipped with Medium Intensity Runway Lights, threshold lights at both runway ends and Precision Approach path Indicators are located on the left hand side of both runway ends. Runway 3/21 is served by 2 connector taxiways located on the west side of the runway near the approach end of Runway 3. They provide access from the runway to the aircraft parking apron and are 40 feet in width. A turnaround serves Runway 21.
