The Monticello Fire Department operates two stations with 11 Full-time & 13 paid-per-call personnel. The city of Monticello has an insurance classification of 6. For non-emergency business, call 367-5433.

 

Police

Monticello Police Department: 911

The Monticello Police Department operates with 25 full-time and 10 auxiliary officers. For non-emergency business, call 367-3411.

Drew County Sheriff's Department: 911

The Drew County Sheriff's Department operates with 10 full-time, 12 part-time & 17 auxiliary officers. For non-emergency business, call 367-6211

Trash Pickups

City of Monticello: City owned & operated service. Two weekly pick-ups @ $11.00 per month. Two weekly business pickups @ $35.00 per month. To establish service or for larger pickups, call the City Sanitation Department at 367-3415.

Drew  County: County owned and operated. One weekly pickup @ $10.50 per month. To establish service, call the Drew County Sanitation  office at 460-6293.

The City of Monticello operates a recycling facility at 1466 Old Warren road. Cardboard, aluminum cans, newspapers, plastic soda bottles, milk jugs and magazines are accepted. Residents may also call the facility at 367-4407 to sign up for weekly curbside pick-up service each Wednesday. Participants in the curbside program are asked to separate cardboard from newspapers and to rinse out all bottles. Recycling center hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of each month.
