Monticello, the county seat of Drew County, is located in the southeast corner of Arkansas. It is 90 miles south of Little Rock, 200 miles southwest of Memphis, 50 miles west of Greenville, Mississippi, and 85 miles north of Monroe, Louisiana. Monticello is served by U.S. Highway 278 and Arkansas Highway 35 from the east and west, and U.S. Highway 425 from the north and south. In the near future, Monticello will also be accessible via Interstate 530 from the north as well as proposed Interstate 69, a major north/south route of the NAFTA Trade Corridor.
